Octane rating, also known as octane number is a measurement of the quality or performance of petrol/gasoline. The higher the number, the better the fuel burns within the engine of a vehicle.
Octane is measured by calculating a fuels RON value, adding the MON value and divide it by 2.
(RON + MON) / 2
The fuel quality at the pumps are not always up to standard, meaning they are lower octane than stated, which can be damaging to your vehicle' engine.
Higher performance vehicles require fuel with a higher octane rating. We recommend adding an Octane Booster to cars with Turbos or Super Changers, to resist "knocking" or "pinging" during combustion, caused by the air/fuel mixture detonating prematurely in the engine, which can be disastrous.
Our Racing Fuel has been lab tested, and is rated at 102.6 octane.
Our Premium Racing Fuel has been lab tested, and is rated at 107 octane.
